Our top 5 beaches to visit this summer

Our top 5 beaches to visit this summer

Summer is in full swing and there is no better place to be than by the beach. We’ve collated our top 5 beaches to visit this summer along the east coast from our home town of the Sunshine Coast down to Sydney! If the beach isn’t your thing we’ve included some of our favourite shops and restaurants nearby too.

1. Little Cove, Noosa

Starting at home, we love Little Cove. Nestled behind main beach and at the start of the Noosa National Park, this small secluded beach is framed by small rock cliffs and a lush rainforest. It’s pure magic and great for a longboard surf too.

Hastings St is just around the corner with an array of beautiful restaurants (Locale, Bang Bang and Bistro C or a sunset pizza on the beach from El Capitano being some of our favourites) and of course of Noosa boutique for shopping.

2. Coolum Bays, Coolum

A bit further down the coast is the Coolum Bays comprising of 3 beautiful bays with clear water, rock pools and no crowds. There are walking paths and look outs at each bay making it a bit more of an adventure day.

Our favourite spots to eat in Coolum are Heirloom, The Caf or the Coolum Surf Club for a classic pub lunch with a view.

3. Wategos Beach, Byron Bay

Tucked away beneath the Cape Byron Headland, Wategos is a quiet and pristine haven where the waves are perfect for a gentle swim or surf. It’s not as busy as the main Byron Bay beach, but it’s just as stunning—making it a perfect place to unwind and escape the crowds.

Grab some lunch from Rae’s afterwards or head to the Byron Industrial area for shopping at Nagnata, Deiji and more beautiful stores.

4. Yamba, Northern NSW

Yamba is often hailed as one of Australia's best-kept secrets and it is home to some of the country’s most pristine beaches. Whether you’re interested in surfing the waves at Angourie Beach or simply relaxing on the sands of Main Beach, you’ll find the perfect spot for every mood. The surrounding area is equally stunning, with plenty of lush forests and wildlife to explore.

Discover Yamba’s famous seafood markets, Drift Pizza Bar, Pacific Hotel Yamba, or grab some breakfast at the Kiosk Yamba right on the beach.

5. Gordon’s Bay, Sydney

If you're in Sydney and craving something off the beaten track, Gordon’s Bay is your hidden treasure. Located between Coogee and Clovelly, this small, picturesque beach is often overshadowed by its more famous neighbors. The water is crystal clear, and the beach itself is perfect for a swim or a snorkel. One of the best things about Gordon’s Bay is the underwater nature trail that winds through the bay, giving you a unique opportunity to explore the local marine life.

It is a great spot for a picnic afterwards or not to far from an unlimited amount of restaurants and cafes nearby.

As sun seekers ourselves, these are just some of the beaches you will catch us at over the summer period. Discover our beach essentials here.
